A few answers really stuck out to me but many of them just made me think, damn that person is egotistical。 I think I would rather read a bunch of random people’s responses, especially if that covered a more diverse population。

Nahid

If it was half as long it would have been a 4star。 But gets repetitive and boring in the second half。

The usefulness of answers depends on what questions you ask, and to whom。 This book gets both of these right! Use this book as a reference to dive into many questions answered by a person you admire。 Or, pick one question and look at the varied perspectives from many accomplished people。 There's a lot to learn。 The usefulness of answers depends on what questions you ask, and to whom。 This book gets both of these right! I didn't like this book because I wish I had had the idea to do it myself。 It's a compilation of emails from very smart and progressive people。 Most were interesting and I got a few good book recommendations out of it but it became taxing to read the same questions over and over。 I didn't like this book because I wish I had had the idea to do it myself。 It's a compilation of emails from very smart and progressive people。 Most were interesting and I got a few good book recommendations out of it but it became taxing to read the same questions over and over。 。。。more

This isn’t a book。 It’s a compilation of blog posts that say nothing about everything, simultaneously harmonious and contradictory。

Compared to his other book, “Tools of Titans”, this is a big disappointment。 I found it get very reparative and I could not take anything away from many people。 Try one of his other books。

Such a fantastic book。 I will reread this every few years as it will surely have different meaning as life changes。 I would recommend this to everyone, at any stage in life。 Also, it’s a treasure trove of ideas for great books to read!

Took a long time to get through this but it was great and I highlighted a ton of stuff。 I thought the question about the products under 100 was super useful。 Definitely a good reference for a number of different things。 Will definitely be adding some more books to my reading list。 Very well put together。

Wow! So much to unpack in this book! First, I would suggest you break this book down into several days or, in my case, just over two months to finish the book! My specific choice was to read two “guest per day”。 This allow me to move on if a guest information did not stick but knowing another guest had insight I could use was very enjoyable! It’s a good read over a few weeks!

Loved itWhat an awesome idea to have life advice from so many different people from all walks of life in one place。 An inside look at the mindset of so many influential people and I found they really aren't much different than me。 I will definitely follow up and re-read some of the ones that stood out to me。 Loved itWhat an awesome idea to have life advice from so many different people from all walks of life in one place。 An inside look at the mindset of so many influential people and I found they really aren't much different than me。 I will definitely follow up and re-read some of the ones that stood out to me。 。。。more

Tim Ferris asked 140+ people a bunch of questions (11 to be exact) and you get a variety of fascinating answers。 I like the diversity of the profiles, you get some really remarkable people taking part of this book from business men to athletes, actors, doctors, writers, scientists… it is really thought-provoking to see all these point of view mixed in these 2-3 pages interviews。 What comes back often : meditation, walking, being grateful, reading and taking risks。 Obviously it is not supposed t Tim Ferris asked 140+ people a bunch of questions (11 to be exact) and you get a variety of fascinating answers。 I like the diversity of the profiles, you get some really remarkable people taking part of this book from business men to athletes, actors, doctors, writers, scientists… it is really thought-provoking to see all these point of view mixed in these 2-3 pages interviews。 What comes back often : meditation, walking, being grateful, reading and taking risks。 Obviously it is not supposed to be a one-sitting read as everything gets a bit repetitive after a while, but it was intriguing nonetheless and I got some really nice insights into several lives and minds。 Along with Tools of Titans: The Tactics, Routines, and Habits of Billionaires, Icons, and World-Class Performers that I read quite a while back (I can’t even tell you what was the difference with this one, but I remember liking it a lot as well) this is a book that I want to keep and re-read in the future。 I also took some pictures of a few pages when I found some particularly interesting insights so that I could come back to it later。 Overall intriguing, an entertaining read。 Tim Ferris is an author I like to follow since his great The 4-Hour Workweek。 。。。more

WowHm。。。 finished reading Mentors straight after Titans。 It is great feeling to know all these people are more similar to me than different。 That makes me feel there is still hope for me to succeed in my craft。 Thank you, Tim

Desgastante, frases repetidas y varias historias extensas que no llevan a ninguna conclusiónCreo que el libro podría tener una clasificación: temáticas, edad, profesión。Quizás a otros si les guste, a mí me cansó。

Not as good as "Tools for Titans"--I guess I just liked the layout of his other book better。。。but still an interesting read。 Not as good as "Tools for Titans"--I guess I just liked the layout of his other book better。。。but still an interesting read。 。。。more

This book is looooooooooong! There are some great takeaways, off course, but after reading this, I have confirmed that we are all just winging it and some people just know how to wing it better。

Using the book as a reference guide for inspiration, perspective and experiments across a range of life aspects has been very helpful in working through this winter and the pandemic mentally。 There will be some that I will come back to frequently and others I won't revisit。 Overall, I appreciate the curation of content and access to so many brilliant minds。 Using the book as a reference guide for inspiration, perspective and experiments across a range of life aspects has been very helpful in working through this winter and the pandemic mentally。 There will be some that I will come back to frequently and others I won't revisit。 Overall, I appreciate the curation of content and access to so many brilliant minds。 。。。more

This is essentially a compilation of interviews with hundreds of "successful" people from every area of life imaginable。 While long and a bit repetitive at times, this book serves as an excellent jumping off point to find new books, hobbies, quotes, and ideas to contemplate。 If you're feeling uninspired or just want some fresh ideas to explore, I recommend it。 It will probably take me a year to get through the list of cool stuff to look up that I wrote down while reading。 This is essentially a compilation of interviews with hundreds of "successful" people from every area of life imaginable。 While long and a bit repetitive at times, this book serves as an excellent jumping off point to find new books, hobbies, quotes, and ideas to contemplate。 If you're feeling uninspired or just want some fresh ideas to explore, I recommend it。 It will probably take me a year to get through the list of cool stuff to look up that I wrote down while reading。 。。。more

I LOVE THE 1000。Took me a long time to finish this book, and I'm glad I did take my time with this one。It's a book you can essentially pick up, read a few pages and put away because you already have found something you can try or ponder about。Nothing less from Tim Ferriss。 I LOVE THE 1000。Took me a long time to finish this book, and I'm glad I did take my time with this one。It's a book you can essentially pick up, read a few pages and put away because you already have found something you can try or ponder about。Nothing less from Tim Ferriss。 。。。more

Very accommodating wisdom。 The is something for everyone。

It’s a good book, but it doesn’t feel like a book - it’s more like article in a magazine or a blog post。

Good tidbits from some of the smartest and most successful people。 You can take away a lot of learnings here but I recommend skipping over people that don’t spark your interest IE - hearing about ultra marathoners diets。

Great insight into the lives of soo many mentorsA fantastic book for all everyone to read。 Very easy to pick up at any point and read about a specific mentor(s)。 Gives great insight into a very wide range of people from all walks of life。 As a bonus, it’s given me a wide and varying book list to keep me busy for a good while。。

A colossal collection of some of the best advice of a plethora of world-class superachievers, hand-picked by superachiever Tim Ferriss。 I listened to it with TTS。 I’ve found that choice bits of pertinent advice rise to the surface when the situation calls for them。 Recommended。

A lot of good bits of wisdom。 I think you need to approach this book knowing what you want to get out of it, otherwise it's very easy to get overwhelmed and lost in all of the advice。 It was interesting to see how the advice from person to person could conflict with one another, great example about how God is our one true source of wisdom。 But gotta say, I took lots of notes and definitely laughed。 A lot of good bits of wisdom。 I think you need to approach this book knowing what you want to get out of it, otherwise it's very easy to get overwhelmed and lost in all of the advice。 It was interesting to see how the advice from person to person could conflict with one another, great example about how God is our one true source of wisdom。 But gotta say, I took lots of notes and definitely laughed。 。。。more
